Holy Cross Cathedral of the Orthodox Saviour-Euphrosinievsky Nunnery.
The Saviour Monastery Euphrosinevsky is female the Orthodox monastery in Polotsk (Belarus), the most revered monasteries in the Russian Orthodox Church.
It was founded by Saint Princess of Euphrosynia of Polotsk in 1125 when she moved to near the Transfiguration Church in Selec. Over time, there were tonsured monk Sisters of St. Euphrosynia: Mother Evdokia (in the world as Gradislava) and cousin Eupraxia (in the world as Zvenislava) , it is the only daughter of Polotsk prince the Boris Vseslavich. |
